Gibraltar ’s leading building services consultancy are currently looking for an Electrical Design Engineer at assistant / intermediate level to join their team - could this be your new role??

The company has been around for over 20 years and has become the largest building services consultancy in the Gibraltar area, highly experienced in working in conjunction with local architects and other consultants to British and internationally recognised standards.

Starting salary GBP 32-40k annual gross (depending on experience)

What you’ll be doing:

- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of projects, including lighting, power, and fire alarm systems
- Use Amtech/Trimble for electrical calculations and circuit design




- Use industry-standard design software for lighting and emergency lighting calculations
- Model and coordinate electrical services in Revit, ensuring clash detection and integration with other disciplines
- Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and documentation under the guidance of the senior engineer
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and assist in inspections when required
- Collaborate closely with internal MEP teams and external consultants

What you’ll need:

- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of residential electrical systems and building regulations
- Experience using Amtech/Trimble for electrical design and calculations is essential
- Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with BIM workflows
- Fluency in English; if you also speak Spanish that would be awesome
- Right to work in Gibraltar (UK or EU citizenship)
- Familiarity with UK and Gibraltar building codes and standards
- Prior experience in a consultancy environment
