IBM Cognos Developer | SQL | Reporting & Analytics We are looking for a Mid-Level Cognos Developer to join a integral financial services project supporting reporting solutions and data delivery for finance-related systems. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining reporting assets in IBM Cognos, working closely with business stakeholders, validating data accuracy, and supporting deployment and production activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics / Cognos Report Studio.
• Create and maintain reporting solutions based on financial and operational data.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Support testing, validation, deployment, and production readiness activities.
• Troubleshoot reporting and data-related issues.
• Collaborate with business users to gather and refine reporting requirements.
• Design and maintain reporting data models.



Required Skills
• Hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics and/or Cognos Report Studio.
• Strong SQL development skills, including complex joins, aggregations, analytical functions, and query optimization.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Teradata.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling concepts.
• Experience supporting report testing, validation, and production environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders. Nice to Have
• Experience within Banking or Financial Services.
• Exposure to finance, accounting, subledger, or regulatory reporting environments.
