At IREC – Institut de Recerca Energíade Catalunya, we are lookingfor an IT Support Technician to join our IT department located in Barcelona, Sant Andreu de Besòs. You will be part of a team of four people where you will have the opportunity to grow in your professional career by acquiring knowledge and managing environments/technologies in:
• Microinformatics
• Systems administration (WindowsXP, 7, 10, 11, WindowsServer, Linux)
• Managing virtual environments with VSphere, ESXI,PROXMOX

Qualifications and experience required: Essential:
• Be in possession of a 33% disability certificate
• Advanced Vocational Training(CFGS) in NetworkedComputer Systems Administration or similar.
• At least 10 years of experience in user support,both in-person and remotely
• Experience performing the duties of an IT systems technician and help desk specialist, such as joining computers to the domain, user management, application installation, troubleshooting user computer issues, managing computer inventory,



and tracking tickets in the Jira Service Management tool.
• Administration and implementation of systems (WindowsXP, 7, 10, 11, WindowsServer, Linux).
• Administration and implementation of virtual environments with VSphere, ESXI,PROXMOX.
• Security incident resolution and monitoring in the EDR solution.
• Administrative tasks related to the control of loanedmaterials and signinginternal documentation
• Conversational and written proficiency in English,Catalan, and Spanis Preferred:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
• Management of security policies, creation of rules, VLANs, updates of Fortinet Firewalls, switches, access points, and control in FortiManager Personal

skills:
• Stress management skills
