Offer Description

the Foundation announces, on a competitive basis and respecting the principles of publicity, equality, merit and capacity in the selection process:

1 PERMANENT full-time post in the category of Senior Technician–Postdoctoral Researcher, requiring a PhD in Health Sciences

Additionally, it ase be assessed in the competition ase (see the scale of the call for applications):

A. National PhD contracts (FPU/FPI/PFIS).

B. Special PhD award.

E. Training in working with laboratory animals (B, C, D).

F. Specific knowledge of the molecular mechanisms of disease, particularly neurodegeneration.

G. Proficiency in specific techniques:

- Phenotypic, molecular, cellular and pathological characterisation of new mouse models, particularly those of neurodegeneration.
- Molecular and cellular studies in cellular models, particularly those of neurodegeneration.

H. Research activity:

- Publications in indexed journals/book chapters.
- Participation in research projects.

I. Work Experience:

- General experience in biomedical research.
- Specific experience in the project’s research area.

Specific Requirements





The candidate selected for the project will carry out the following tasks:

- Planning and conducting experiments on zonulin in glioblastoma, under the supervision of the Principal Investigator; collaborating on studies relating to androgen and glucocorticoid receptors.
- Establishing, maintaining and characterising cell cultures, patient-derived cultures and organoids; applying experimental treatments and ensuring quality control of the cultures.
- RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis and expression analysis via RT-qPCR; protein extraction and analysis via Western blot.
- Conducting immunofluorescence and image analysis; functional assays of cell proliferation, migration and invasion.
- Sample management and traceability, recording and analysis of results, report writing, and collaboration on scientific communications and publications.

Additional Information

2,917.00 euros (two thousand nine hundred and seventeen euros), including pro-rated bonus payments, in accordance with the budget allocated to the staff budget, after deduction of the company’s social security contributions and other applicable deductions.
