Not funded by a EU programme Is the Job related to staff position within a Research Infrastructure? No Offer Description The Chemical Reaction Dynamics and Femtochemistry group ( http://dinalaser.com/ ) at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) offers a two-year postdoctoral contract within the AXIOM-CM project funded by the Comunidad de Madrid (Spain). The project The postdoctoral fellow will work on attosecond photoionization dynamics on bio-relevant systems.
Experiments will be carried out at the Ultrafast Lasers Center of the UCM combining isolated attosecond pulses through high harmonic generation and photoelectrons spectroscopy. Candidate Profile The successful candidate must hold a PhD degree in Physics/Chemistry or similar. A strong background and motivation in light-matter interaction and photo-induced molecular dynamics is desired. Previous experience with pulsed lasers, high harmonic generation and programming skills would be highly valued, although not a pre-requisite. Working environment The candidate will work in the Chemical Reaction Dynamics and Femtochemistry group at UCM in Madrid (Spain) under the supervision of Prof. Luis Bañares and Prof. Sonia Marggi Poullain. The experiments will be carried out mostly at CLUR ( https://www.ucm.es/ulc ; https://laserlab-europe.eu/about/members/clur/ ). The group has an extensive expertise in the study of photodynamics of polyatomic molecules in gas-phase induced by nanosecond, femtosecond to attosecond pulses, as well as synchrotron radiation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
