Job Description Summary The Wind Turbine Controls Technical Leader is responsible for the turbine control software for various systems and components comprising a wind turbine. In this role, you will develop products, solutions, and technology for wind turbine and farm-level control components. You will execute business critical new product introductions, drive cost-out competitiveness, and develop technology to increase AEP and ensure world-class performance.Job Description Roles and ResponsibilitiesSupport in leading a team of controls engineers, focused on application software development, from requirements to production release, through to post release support.Technical vision on implementing a state-of-the-art software solution.Lead the design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of controls software.Lead Scrum ceremonies such as scrum calls, sprint planning, sprint closure, and retrospectives.Remove impediments to team progress and elevate issues when necessary.Track and report on team progress, sprint velocity and other key metrics.Review the technical work of the team to ensure quality and adherence to standards.Lead the coordination and execution across the team to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.Align with the Wind Engineering teams on priorities and deliverables for turbines controls software.Engage with customers to drive their success through fleet monitoring and issue resolution.Partner with stakeholders to drive corrective and preventative actions to deliver world-class quality for core control software.Provide leadership with high integrity and oversight of processes protecting intellectual property, export-controlled information, and strategic technology.Foster a culture of collaboration transparency, and continuous improvement within the organization.Required QualificationsMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field with Renewable Energy emphasis preferredProven experience in software development relevant to wind turbine control system designProficient in Matlab/SimulinkDesired CharacteristicsMaster of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringStrategic thinker with demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges* Strong wind turbine controls system expertiseSelf-starter, who delivers results with minimal supervisionExperience with Agile methodology and leading sprint planningExcellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.Proven ability to work effectively with international teams in a fast-paced environment.GE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
