Our client, a leading software development company in Mérida, Yucatán , is looking for a passionate Junior Software Engineer specializing in Frontend Web Development. This is an exceptional entry-level position for recent computer science graduates eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world, professional setting. You will be part of a talented team responsible for building innovative and user-friendly web applications. Working directly with senior engineers and UI/UX designers, you will contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment. This role is based in our vibrant office in Mérida, Yucatán , offering a collaborative environment where continuous learning and skill development are highly encouraged. You will gain hands-on experience with modern web technologies and contribute to impactful projects that serve a diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces for web applications using modern frontend technologies. Collaborate with backend developers and designers to integrate frontend components. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge. Debug and resolve frontend issues and performance bottlenecks. Assist in the testing and deployment of new features. Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends. Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team. Work closely with product managers to understand user stories and requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+). Familiarity with at least one modern JavaScript framework/library (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. Basic knowledge of version control systems, such as Git. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn new technologies and take on challenging tasks. Must be located in or willing to relocate to Mérida, Yucatán for this on-site role.
