About the Role

Our client, a integral leader in the **FMCG** industry, is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Factory Operations Manager for their manufacturing facility in **León, Guanajuato**. This critical role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing management, a deep understanding of operational excellence principles, and a proven ability to lead and develop a large operational team. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality production output, and maintaining a safe working environment within the **Bienes de consumo masivo** sector. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to manage a key manufacturing site in **León**.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day factory operations, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Manage the production schedule to meet demand forecasts and customer requirements.
- Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Oversee maintenance operations to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for plant operations.
- Manage the factory budget effectively.
- Collaborate with supply chain, R&D;, and quality assurance departments to ensure seamless operations.




- Drive initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical), Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a management role, specifically within the **FMCG** sector.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality management systems (e.G., ISO), and safety regulations.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing budgets and P&Ls; for a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in **León**.
- Proficiency in relevant manufacturing software and ERP systems.
