About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Helpdesk Support Technician to join their IT support team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role is essential for providing first-line technical support to internal staff, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, software, and network infrastructure. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, responding to user requests, and maintaining IT equipment. Key Responsibilities
Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
Respond to service desk tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with the setup and deployment of new computer hardware and software.
Create and maintain IT documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures.
Identify and escalation unresolved issues to senior IT staff or external vendors.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
RequirementsProven experience as a Helpdesk Technician, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications.
Experience with network troubleshooting and TCP/IP protocols.
Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems.
CompTIA A+, Network+) are a significant advantage.
