About the Role

Our client, a global leader in the FMCG industry, is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Factory Operations Manager for their manufacturing facility in León, Guanajuato. This critical role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, safety, and efficiency. The adecuado candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing management, a deep understanding of operational excellence principles, and a proven ability to lead and develop a large operational team. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality production output, and maintaining a safe working environment within the Bienes de consumo masivo sector. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to manage a key manufacturing site in León.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day factory operations, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Manage the production schedule to meet demand forecasts and customer requirements.
- Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Oversee maintenance operations to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for plant operations.
- Manage the factory budget effectively.
- Collaborate with supply chain, R&D;, and quality assurance departments to ensure seamless operations.




- Drive initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical), Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a management role, specifically within the FMCG sector.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality management systems (e.g., ISO), and safety regulations.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing budgets and P&Ls; for a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in León.
- Proficiency in relevant manufacturing software and ERP systems.
