About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Arquitecto de Soluciones de Redes to lead the strategic design and implementation of advanced networking solutions. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Mexico. You will be instrumental in defining the future of our client's network infrastructure, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security to meet evolving business demands in the telecommunications sector. This role requires a deep understanding of current and emerging network technologies and the ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technical architectures.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and document high-level and detailed network architectures, considering all aspects of connectivity, security, and performance.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of new network technologies and vendors.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and propose optimal network solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to network engineering and operations teams.
- Define standards, best practices, and design principles for network infrastructure.
- Analyze current network performance and identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- Create proof-of-concepts and pilot programs for new network solutions.
- Develop roadmaps for network evolution and capacity planning.
- Ensure network designs comply with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Stay abreast of cutting-edge advancements in networking, cloud, and telecommunications technologies.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture, with a significant focus on large-scale enterprise or service provider networks.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex, resilient, and secure network solutions.
- Expert knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, WAN/LAN design, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless networking.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including intrusion detection/prevention, encryption, and access control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence technical and business leaders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP/CCIE, JNCIE are strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a remote setting.
