Position Title: Social Media Filmmaker & Content Creator

The Shop, our in-house agency at Stanley Black & Decker is currently seeking a creative, organised, and detail-oriented Video Editor. The ideal candidate should have a strong track record of editing engaging social-first and branded content, transforming raw footage into compelling visual stories, and managing media assets with precision and consistency. This role will be responsible for editing footage captured by the Social Media Filmmakers, as well as creating content from existing archive footage and owned media assets. A key part of this position will also be maintaining an organised media library, ensuring footage is properly logged, documented, and easily accessible for future use. The Job: As the Social Media Filmmaker & Content Creator, you’ll get to:
• Develop social-first video and content concepts aligned with brand and campaign objectives.
• Plan and organise shoots, including pre-production, shot lists, schedules, locations, and production logistics.
• Travel to locations to capture high-quality content for social media, campaigns, events, and product storytelling.
• Film content using digital cameras and lightweight production equipment.
• Ensure all captured content aligns with brand standards, visual identity, and tone of voice.




• Work closely with editors and post-production partners by capturing footage with final deliverables and platform requirements in mind.
• Support influencer, ambassador, and event content capture when needed.
• Monitor social, cultural, and industry trends to identify relevant content opportunities.
• Manage multiple shoots and projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and production quality.
• Maintain organised production workflows, including file management, shot planning, and content handoff to post-production teams. • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in film, media production, communications, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience creating branded, social, or digital content.
• Strong experience in filming and content capture for social-first platforms, with proven ability to plan and execute shoots from concept through on-location production.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, pacing, and platform-specific content formats,



along with experience using digital camera, sound, and lighting equipment for professional content creation.
• Excellent time-management, project management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple productions at once and work effectively in cross-functional environments.
