We've set the standard in kids entertainment. We're Lingokids, the #1 entertainment platform for young kids. Most kids content is designed to capture attention. We're KidSAFE certified, completely ad‐free, and committed to giving families entertainment they can trust, with no compromise. 20 million kids come back to us every single month, and we've earned more than 50 awards along the way. Now we're going after something bigger: becoming the go-to entertainment destination for kids everywhere, and changing what content looks like for the generation growing up on it. As Game Technical Artist, you will own the tooling and standards behind this journey. Own Unity asset setup: Define how visual assets and animations are integrated efficiently in Unity, including prefabs, reusable configurations, and animation integration. Check that assets look and behave correctly on device, and diagnose visual defects, integration issues, and mobile performance problems. Find bottlenecks, trace recurring issues to their root cause, and fix them across Art, Animation, Design, and Engineering. Structure assets, rigs, animations, and setups so they carry across games, levels, and IP reskins with minimal rework. Evaluate new tools and pipeline changes, including our exploration of a move from Adobe Animate to Spine, and help teams adopt them. Identify where AI tools can safely speed up production, pilot them with the team, set guardrails for quality and licensed-IP use, and document what works. Hands-on experience integrating 2D art and animation into Unity for shipped or production-ready games. Amplify Shader Editor, Shader Graph), including creating custom shaders and effects tailored to each project's creative needs. Solid understanding of Unity's render pipelines, including their capabilities, limitations, and when to use each. A solid grasp of 2D asset and animation pipelines,
such as preparing layered art (e.g. PSD or Animate files) for export, sprite or skeletal animation, and atlas packing. C# for Unity editor tooling is most relevant, and Python or similar for external automation is welcome. An understanding of mobile performance constraints such as app size and download, memory, draw calls, texture sizes, and animation cost. Practical experience using AI tools, such as coding assistants, to build or speed up production tools, with sound judgment about when output needs human review. Comfort writing documentation and teaching others. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Animate workflows. Asset localization
experience:
text baked into art, font and glyph coverage, per-locale asset variants and packaging. Version control workflows for art assets. Experience in games for children, or with licensed IP and brand-approval constraints. Experience with templated or reskinnable game systems. Deep experience with Spine or another 2D skeletal animation tool. English is a must. We're a multicultural team providing a service in English, so while certifications aren't necessary, fluency is essential. As a fully remote company, clear spoken and written communication, especially in async and long-form formats, is key to collaborating well. Career Growth: Up to €2,000 per year for books and training, so you can keep learning and growing with us. Remote-Friendly: Work from home or our Madrid office, anywhere within a 2-hour difference from Spain (GMT+1). Home Office Setup: A €400 allowance to set up your space, plus €35/month for remote work expenses. Manage meal, transport and childcare expenses through Cobee, straight from your payroll. Health Insurance: Private health coverage with Adeslas at exclusive rates, deducted from your payroll. Free Spanish and English classes. Visa Sponsorship: If you need a visa to work in the EU, we handle the process and cover the costs.
