Role Description The Casting Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Valencia. This position is responsible for leading the casting process across film and media projects, including identifying talent, organizing auditions, and coordinating callbacks. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating closely with directors and producers to understand character requirements, maintaining relationships with agents and talent, and ensuring inclusive and culturally sensitive casting choices.

Director will manage casting schedules, maintain talent databases, and oversee communication with performers throughout the casting process.



The role also includes working with the production team to align casting decisions with project timelines, budgets, and creative goals.

Qualifications

- Strong casting skills, including talent identification, audition management, and selection for film and media projects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with directors, producers, talent, and community partners.
- Understanding of acting and performance, with the ability to evaluate actors’ suitability for roles and provide constructive feedback.
- Awareness of music and its role in storytelling, with the ability to coordinate performers and musical elements when relevant.
- Production management skills to oversee casting logistics, schedules, budgets, and documentation.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, culturally sensitive casting and respect for diverse identities.
- Experience in film, television, or media production; previous work as a Casting Director or in a casting department is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with digital tools for casting databases, communication, and scheduling.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, performing arts, or a related field is an advantage.
