Senior Underwriter Political Risks & Credit Bonds As a Senior Underwriter for AXA XL's Political Risk, Credit & Bond team you will be responsible for delivering a profitable 'Underwriting' service to your clients.supporting the business planning and forecasting process; monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within set limits; You will work as part of an experienced, global underwriting team to originate and underwrite political and credit risks across Europe region. You will be part of one of AXA XL's key Specialty Lines insurance businesses and a member of a market leading team recognized globally for its excellence in the industry. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risk by reference to business strategy and risk appetite.
Analyze performance of portfolio as well as individual account performance and develop appropriate action to drive profitable growth based upon the analysis.
Maintain compliance with all internal and external underwriting guidelines and legal requirementsUnderstand the strategy and targets of AXA XL including financial measuresPlan, develop and integrate distribuion & marketing plans to achieve top and bottom line objectives.
Develop and drive customer service performance to established standards.
Deliver service excellence through effective collaboration including contribution to the recording and maintenance of high quality data in underwriting systems.
Support the business planning and forecasting process.




Relevant experience in the banking or insurance sector (or other financial institution) with a focus on credit and/or political risk analysis.
Specific expertise in trade and export finance, project finance or structured credit are also preferred.
Credit analytical skills with a deep interest in integral economic and political affairs.
Proficiency in English and Spanish is required, other languages are a plus.
