Experteer Overview In this role you will lead GenAI and Agentic Platform initiatives, guiding two cross-functional teams from experimentation to production.
You'll shape long-term architecture, foster platform reliability, and partner with Product, Applied Science, Data, Security, and Engineering to align investments with outcomes.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on scalable, safe AI infrastructure that enables company-wide AI capabilities.
You'll drive strategy, execution, and organizational health to advance Preply's AI-powered learning platform.
Compensaciones / Ventajas • Set long-term engineering vision for GenAI and Agentic Platforms and unify them as a coherent platform • Define outcomes with Product Manager and measure platform impact • Lead and develop 8–12 engineers across two teams with performance management and coaching • Oversee hiring quality, team composition, and operating models amid changing needs • Guide architecture across model access, evaluation, observability, retrieval, agent orchestration, tools, state, memory, permissions,



and control planes • Translate strategy into actionable plans balancing foundational investment with near-term needs while managing trade-offs • Align senior stakeholders across Product, Applied Science, Data, Security, and Engineering on standards and priorities Responsabilidades • 8+ years of software engineering experience • 5+ years in engineering management and leading multiple teams or a multi-squad area • Track record of hiring, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams • Strong depth in platform engineering, backend or distributed systems, ML infrastructure or developer infrastructure • Practical experience with production GenAI or Agentic systems and related concerns (model access, evaluation, observability, retrieval, orchestration, safety) • AI expertise in using Agentic AI for architecture, planning, and decision-making with governance and safety nets • Experience leading platform products with strong self-service, API design, and developer experience • Clear communication and stakeholder leadership to align teams with different incentives Requisitos principales • monthly lesson allowance • Learning u**** Development budget • time off for self-development • equity and health insurance • relocation package to Barcelona • mental health support
