• Expiration Date: 05/11/2026 23:59:00 The Computational Cancer Genomics Lab investigates condition-specific mechanisms of tumor progression through the analysis of large-scale cancer genomics data. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatician to join our team. In this role, you will analyze large-scale multi-omics and cancer genomic datasets. Our ultimate goal is to unravel how cancer driver genes—with a primary focus on p53 mutations—alter their mode of action depending on specific mutational contexts, paving the way for improved precision cancer therapies. Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Computer Science, Genomics, or a related quantitative field.
• NGS Data Analysis: Practical experience in processing, quality control, and analysis of large-scale sequencing data (e.g., WGS, WES, RNA-seq).
• Statistical & Computational Modeling: Proven track record of developing computational or statistical models for biological data interpretation.
• Pipeline Development: Experience in building, automating,
and scaling bioinformatics pipelines for high-throughput genomic data.
• Cancer Genomics: Prior research experience in cancer genomics, somatic mutation analysis, or structural/position-specific variant interpretation is a strong plus.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics, such as R, Python, or equivalent languages.
• Sequencing Data Analysis: Hands-on experience in processing and analyzing large-scale sequencing data.
• Computing Environment & Workflows: Familiarity with High-Performance Computing (HPC)/supercomputing cluster environments and workflow management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. All application materials, including a detailed CV, must be submitted in English. The CNIO Offers
• Joining an internationally renowned Research Centre.
• Gross annual salary between €25,874 and €28,561.
• Social benefits. Versátil compensation (health insurance, meals, transport, childcare).
• Contract linked to a project.
