We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of a large-scale desalination EPC project in North Africa. The position requires proven experience in desalination projects and strong expertise in the management of complex construction projects, with overall responsibility for project execution from design through commissioning and final handover. The successful candidate should combine strong construction expertise with an overall project perspective, including planning, costs, contracts, quality, HSE, subcontractor management and multidisciplinary team coordination.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the overall execution of the project, from the design phase through construction, commissioning and final handover, ensuring compliance with schedule, cost, quality and HSE requirements.
• Manage project planning and the overall construction programme, defining resources, schedules and infrastructure requirements.
• Coordinate project activities involving internal teams, subcontractors and key suppliers.
• Oversee on-site and off-site construction activities, ensuring contractual, technical and regulatory compliance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and optimise the use of materials, equipment and project resources.
• Monitor project progress, proactively resolving issues and mitigating operational, contractual and technical risks.
• Manage contractual matters and permits and approve project invoicing within the responsibilities of the position.




• Prepare and present project progress reports to management and relevant external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable construction standards, quality requirements and technical best practices. Requirements

Education:
Degree in Civil, Industrial or related Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in desalination projects.
• Previous experience as Project Manager or overall project lead in major EPC projects.
• Strong construction management experience, particularly involving large-diameter pipelines and marine works.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, methods, standards and regulations.
• Strong understanding of all phases of project execution and the construction process.
• Ability to manage project planning, costs, contracts and resources while maintaining an overall project perspective.
• Strong leadership, project management, conflict resolution and crisis management skills.
• English: minimum B2 level. Spanish and/or Arabic would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction/project management software. Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Synchro, Microsoft Project, Presto and BIM environments will be valued.
• Availability for an international assignment in North Africa.
