Role We are looking for a highly motivated candidate for a funded 4-year PhD Fellowship in our research group in Madrid. The prospective thesis will focus on cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence applied to Healthcare within the strategic area of Advanced Enabling Technologies (Generative AI, Agent-based Systems, Explainable AI, Federated Learning, and Complex Systems Modeling). Key Requirements (Strict administrative & academic criteria):
• Academic Background: BSc in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related STEM disciplines.
• Current Status:



Holder of an official Master’s degree or currently enrolled in one (>=300 ECTS credits between BSc and MSc). The Master's degree must be completed around June 2027.
• Academic Record (Strict threshold):
• Minimum average grade of 8.0 / 10 for Science degrees, or 7.5 / 10 for Engineering degrees (computed as a weighted average: 80% Bachelor's + 20% Master's). 4. Nationality / Legal Residence: Spanish or EU citizenship; or other nationalities holding a valid Spanish residence or student permit (estancia por estudios).
