- Lead and manage transaction workstreams, coordinating stakeholders across different functions and jurisdictions and effectively instructing and managing external counsel, including ensuring that external legal support is appropriately scoped, efficient and delivers practical advice aligned with Equinix’s objectives
- Support the integration of newly acquired or organically built businesses,
including participating in cross-functional integration teams and addressing post-closing and market rollout legal and regulatory matters
- Advise on competition/antitrust, foreign investment and other regulatory matters associated with M&A;, joint ventures, partnerships and new-market activities, working with relevant specialists within One Legal as appropriate
- Provide legal support on corporate restructurings, financing and other corporate matters as required
- Use AI, legal technology, standardization and process improvements to improve how transactional legal work is delivered and actively identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and scalable
- Contribute to the development and sharing of best practices, knowledge, playbooks, templates and ways of working across the team, and collaborate with colleagues globally on projects and transactions where appropriate
Qualifications
What we are looking for
- A law degree from a recognised university, with qualification as a lawyer in an EMEA jurisdiction (or equivalent professional legal qualification) and proven years’ post-qualification experience, including relevant experience in a law firm
- Meaningful hands-on experience in M&A; and corporate transactions and a strong general corporate background. Experience supporting external debt financing transactions in connection with M&A;, joint ventures or other strategic transactions would be an advantage
