About us photonicSENS is a fast-growing, award-winning startup bringing a disruptive imaging technology to industrial inspection. We design and build light field 3D cameras in Valencia, and in October
2026 we won the VISION Award for innovation at VISION 2026 in Stuttgart. Our cameras capture a 2D image and a 3D depth map in a single shot, and manufacturers use them to inspect electronics and semiconductor components.
The role
This role sits between our engineering and commercial teams. It is technical outreach, not R&D; and not general marketing: you take what our cameras do in real customer applications and turn it into demos, content and campaigns. In the first 3 months your main job is to learn the product,
the market and our customers from the commercial and engineering teams. You then take on a growing share of the work. All writing is in English.
- Help design and test demos with photonicSENS cameras for customers and events
- Write technical content based on real customer applications: application notes, case studies and product literature
- Help produce our monthly outreach newsletter to customers and contacts
- Support outreach campaigns to prospects and partners
- Learn how to run our social media channels, and publish technical posts
- Take part in webinars and conferences
- Prepare the paperwork and materials for trade shows and conferences
- Learn general marketing: positioning, buyer personas, competitor comparison and campaign planning
Who we are looking for
Someone who can explain complex technology accurately to engineers and buyers.
- In the final year of a bachelor's degree, or enrolled in or graduated within the last 12 months from a master's programme, in optics, physics, photonics or an equivalent technical field
- Fluent or native English. No certificate required: we assess it during the interview process
- German is a plus. Spanish is useful but not required
Conditions photonicSENS · Photonic Sensors & Algorithms, S.L. · Paterna (Valencia), Spain
- Duration: 6 months, extendable up to 12 months in total where your Erasmus+ or university agreement allows. A permanent contract may follow, depending on performance and company budget. It is not guaranteed
- Monthly stipend: €1,000 gross (full-time; pro rata for part-time)
- If you are an Erasmus+ student, you must apply for your Erasmus+ traineeship grant yourself, through your university. Recent graduates must arrange their graduate traineeship with their university before they graduate
- We do not provide accommodation and cannot sponsor visas. Open to EU and EEA citizens,
or those with the right to work in Spain
