Experteer Overview As a Principal Software Engineer at Cognex in Girona, you will drive the design and development of 3D smart camera software, spanning frontend and backend C/C++ on embedded platforms. - Design and implement 3D smart camera software (frontend/backend C/C++ native code)
- Develop C/C++ for embedded ARM systems
- Integrate new 3D sensors and cameras into In-Sight platform
- Contribute to shared 3D visualization libraries and platform components




- Evolve the 3D visualization library across multiple Cognex products
- Implement features and automated tests to ensure quality
- Review requirements, provide estimates, and give technical feedback
- Participate in planning, design discussions, and architecture reviews
- Mentor colleagues and promote best practicesResponsabilidades
- 10+ years of software development experience
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
- Strong C++ programming skills
- Solid understanding of operating system concepts
- Embedded software development in C++ (ARM)
- Experience with machine vision or image processing is a plus
- Knowledge of C#, OpenGL and JavaScript is valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
