About Walter

Walter is an AI-powered IT management platform for general teams. We automate the entire hardware and access lifecycle: onboarding, device provisioning, security, and support, all in one place, inside the tools teams already use (Slack, Teams, Personio etc.). We operate in more than 150 countries today. We're a small, fast-moving team building something new from scratch.

About the role

We're looking for an Operations Intern to help run the operations behind every client order, from the moment we buy from a supplier until the device is delivered, enrolled and invoiced. This is a hands-on role: you'll handle real orders and real clients from your first weeks, and turn what you learn into playbooks to co-create our AI strategy for Operations and automate as much of the process as possible. Great fit for someone extremely organized who wants hands-on experience in operations at a fast-growing startup.

Responsibilities

- Place and follow-up orders with suppliers by email, WhatsApp and phone across Europe, the US, Latin America and Asia.
- Track shipments and serial numbers, resolve the exceptions our system flags, and keep every device correctly recorded in Walter OS.
- Handle delivery incidents (incomplete addresses, missed deliveries, delays, returns), calling carriers and suppliers when needed.
- Resolve operational support tickets from clients in Slack and Teams.
- Prepare and record supplier payments, ready for approval by the founders.
- Support paperwork and follow-ups with our leasing partners.
- Follow up overdue invoices with clients.
- Coordinate device pickups, offboarding and installations at client offices.
- Write playbooks for each operation's process and help build, with our CTO, the AI agents and automations that take them over.

Requirements

- Student or recent graduate in Business,



Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Economics or a related field, able to sign an internship agreement.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented: you double-check a serial number, an address and an amount before you hit send.
- Real ownership: you follow things through to the end and enjoy a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Curious about AI and automation: you already use tools like Claude or ChatGPT and like finding faster ways to do repetitive work.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and with picking up the phone.
- Excellent communication in Spanish and English (any other language is a plus).
- Availability to work on-site in Barcelona, full time for 6 months.

Nice to have

- A previous internship in operations, logistics, procurement or customer support.
- Interest in IT hardware (Apple, Windows) or device management.
- Experience with automation tools such as Zapier, Make or n8n.
- Track record of high-performance outside of work: competitive sports, academic competitions, or any discipline where you've competed and won.
