Operations Specialist at Walter!

Barcelona (on-site) · Full-time · Operations · Reports to Co-Founder & COO

About Walter

Walter is an AI-powered IT management platform for integral teams. We automate the full hardware and access lifecycle (onboarding, device provisioning, security and support) inside the tools teams already use, in 150+ countries. We're a small, fast-moving team building something new from scratch.

The role

You'll own the operations behind every client order: the right device in the right country on the right date, with its serial, enrolment and invoice done right. The role has two halves: you run the day to day with a very high level of organization, and you turn what you learn into playbooks to co-create our AI strategy for Operations with our CTO, so we automate as much of the process as possible.

What you'll do

- Place and follow-up orders with suppliers worldwide by platform, email, WhatsApp or phone, and source suppliers in new countries
- Own every delivery incident and system exception until it's closed, including the calls to carriers and suppliers
- Execute and record supplier payments once the founders approve them
- Resolve operational support tickets from clients in Slack and Teams, within our response times
- Keep cost, supplier and serial numbers recorded for every purchase in Walter OS
- Coordinate device pickups, offboarding and installations at client offices
- Write playbooks for every operation's process and co-create with our CTO the AI agents and automations that will help you be more efficient

What we're looking for

- 2+ years in operations, logistics, procurement, supply chain or customer operations
- Experience in a high-growth startup, IT reseller, e-commerce or hardware company

- Extremely organized and detail oriented: you know a wrong order means money lost and an unhappy client
- High ownership and a strong work ethic: you close loops without being chased
- A process mindset: you document how things work, spot repetitive steps and already use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to work faster
- Calm and firm on the phone with carriers and suppliers
- Fluent Spanish and English (other languages are a plus)

Nice to have

- Background in international shipping and customs, IT hardware, device management or hardware leasing
- Experience with automation tools such as Zapier, Make or n8n, or building workflows with AI agents

What we offer

- Real ownership of operations and real responsibility from day one, with direct impact on the business
- Working directly with the founders, no layers in between
- A team with ex-Google and ex-LinkedIn, Forbes and founder profiles.
- Connections with some of the best companies in the AI startup ecosystem
- A high-pace, high-growth environment with room to grow as we scale

Our values

- We get involved. We're not spectators, we dive into projects and take ownership of the outcome.
- Direct, constructive feedback, always. We say things clearly and on time, with the intent to help each other improve.
- The goal is not the limit. We aim to exceed targets, not just meet them.
- Real ownership. We act like owners of the problem, not like we're waiting to be told what to do.
- Speed with judgment. We'd rather move fast and course-correct than overanalyse without acting.
- Simplicity first. We look for the simplest solution that works, not the most complicated one.
