Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineer to join their industrial operations team in León, Guanajuato, MX . This role is vital for the design and implementation of electrical systems and instrumentation for various industrial plants and facilities. You will be responsible for creating electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, control panel layouts, and specifying instrumentation for process control. This position requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical codes and standards, as well as practical experience with process automation. The role is based entirely on-site, offering the chance to work closely with engineering and operations teams, witness the direct impact of your designs, and contribute to the efficiency and safety of critical industrial processes. Key Responsibilities

- Design electrical power distribution systems, including motor control centers, switchgear, and cabling.

- Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams for electrical and control systems.

- Select and specify instrumentation for process control, such as transmitters, control valves, and sensors.

- Design pneumatic and hydraulic control systems as needed.

- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC) and safety regulations.





- Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and technical specifications for procurement.

- Collaborate with project engineers, technicians, and contractors during installation and commissioning.

- Perform site surveys and gather information for design purposes.

- Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues during plant operation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation design for industrial facilities.

- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) for electrical design.

- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, and HMIs.

- Familiarity with process instrumentation principles and applications.

- Understanding of relevant electrical codes and safety standards.

- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information clearly.

- Experience in the energy sector or manufacturing is a plus.
