About The Company The Best of Both Worlds
At Maisa, we believe great work happens when people have the freedom to choose the setup that works best for them.
Prefer the flexibility of remote work? You’re welcome to work remotely. Most of our roles are currently focused on Spain, although depending on the position and profile, we may be open to hiring from other locations.
Looking for some social energy? Our hybrid setup gives you the option to connect and work alongside teammates at our hubs in Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid and Murcia. And as we grow, our spaces will grow with us: when we build a team of more than 10 people in a location, our ambition is to create a hub there too.
We also want the time we spend together in person to be worth it. Today, that includes weekly transportation from the city center to our Valencia headquarters and weekly team lunches in Valencia and Barcelona, with more experiences to come as our teams and hubs evolve.
The Culture is OURS to Create
We’re still shaping how we work together—and that’s part of what makes joining Maisa now specifically exciting.
Everyone who joins has the opportunity to influence how we collaborate, connect, and build our culture. Rather than inheriting a finished playbook, you’ll have a voice in creating it.
Remote when you want flexibility. Together when you want connection. And a culture you can help shape from day one.
About The Role
This role is remote within Madrid area but expect frequent client visits.

About The Role At Maisa, we're redefining how enterprises work with AI.
Our mission is to make AI accountable, enabling organizations to automate complex business processes with reliability, transparency and control. We're looking for a Strategic Account Executive to accelerate our growth in banking. This is a role for a seasoned enterprise seller who knows the banking industry from the inside, brings an established network of decision-makers,
and wins and grows high-value deals.
You'll own the commercial relationship with your banks, from first meeting to signing contract and on to the next use cases, working closely with our SDR, pre-sales and delivery teams.
This is a hunting role.
You win new banks and then grow them: the first deal is usually one use case, and you lead the sale of the next ones. We're looking for someone who turns relationships into opportunities, navigates complex enterprise buying processes and wins new business, in new and existing customers.
What You'll Do
- Win new banks: identify, develop and close new enterprise opportunities in banking, focused on strategic new logos.
- Expand your accounts: turn the first use case into new ones across other departments and business units, building the business case with each new buyer.
- Use your banking network: create commercial opportunities through your existing relationships, industry connections, events and targeted outreach.
- Own the sales process: lead discovery, stakeholder engagement, negotiation and deal execution through to signature.
- Build a strategic pipeline: work with SDRs to identify target banks, departments and decision-makers, and turn account plans into qualified opportunities.
- Navigate complex buying environments: engage senior stakeholders across operations, technology, transformation, risk and executive leadership to build consensus and drive decisions.
- Take deals through bank governance: guide each deal through procurement, legal, information security, risk and third-party reviews, with support from our compliance and security teams.
- Lead value-driven conversations: understand each bank's business challenges and articulate the commercial value of AI-powered process automation.
- Work cross-functionally: partner with pre-sales on demonstrations, solution design and objections, while keeping ownership of the commercial deal.
- Stay close to your customers: work closely with Client Services and delivery so each bank sees the value of what it bought, which is the basis for the next deal.
- Deliver predictable revenue: manage pipeline, qualification and forecasting with discipline and accountability for your targets.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 8+ years in B2B enterprise sales, of which at least 4 selling software or technology to banks.
- A track record of winning new business and personally closing deals with large ACV.
- A track record of growing enterprise accounts after the first deal, selling new use cases into other departments or business units.
- Deep knowledge of the banking industry: organizational structures, buying processes, business priorities and decision-making dynamics.
- An established network in banking, with demonstrated ability to turn relationships into new commercial opportunities.
- Strong hunting mentality: a proven record of self-generated pipeline and new logos, not reliance on inbound leads.
- Experience taking deals through bank procurement, information security, risk and third-party outsourcing reviews.
- Experience running multi-stakeholder sales cycles with senior executives and business decision-makers.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, stakeholder management and closing skills.
- Ability to work with SDR and pre-sales teams while taking full accountability for commercial outcomes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, while contributing to the building of the processes and playbooks while navigating through a highly ambiguous environment.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and English, with the confidence to engage senior banking stakeholders in both.
- Based in Madrid, with flexibility to travel for client meetings and business development.
Nice to have
- Experience selling AI, automation, data platforms or digital transformation solutions.
- Familiarity with banking operations, risk, compliance or transformation programs.
- Experience working with systems integrators, consulting firms or technology partners.
- Experience with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, MEDDIC or Challenger.
- A network in insurance, asset management, wealth management or international banking.
- Experience opening new territories or building enterprise relationships in a high-growth technology company.
If you're a hunter with deep banking expertise, a strong network and the drive to build something meaningful in enterprise AI, we'd like to hear from you. Maisa is an equal opportunity employer. We process candidate data in line with GDPR and our information security policies, and only for recruitment purposes.
By submitting this application, I agree that my personal data will be collected, processed, and retained by the company solely for the purposes of managing and assessing my candidacy.
