That’s the company we’ve built. Your main goal will be to help build a lean, AI-native accounting function at n8n, owning core accounting operations while using automation and AI to make our processes smarter, faster, and more scalable.
You’ll report to our Head of Accounting & Tax, working alongside an experienced team where you’ll have real ownership from day one and the opportunity to expand into new areas as we grow.
Own Procure-to-Pay & Expense Operations
Manage the end-to-end P2P process in Ramp, from invoice intake and coding to approval follow-ups and biweekly AP payments, ensuring strong controls.
Improve AI-assisted coding, automation rules, and exception handling to reduce manual work and keep transactions accurate.
Support colleagues with expenses, reimbursements, and corporate card questions, resolving issues efficiently.
Deliver Accurate Accounting & Month-End Close
Own assigned OPEX, card spend, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Partner with FP&A; to ensure accurate GL and cost-center coding, timely financial information, and a reliable month-end close.
Maintain clear accounting records, support audit requests, and document processes to ensure continuity and effective controls.
Build an AI-Native Accounting Function
Use n8n, AI tools, and modern accounting platforms to identify opportunities for automation and continuously improve workflows.
Help scale accounting processes across our growing multi-entity business, with opportunities to broaden your expertise into AR and revenue accounting over time.




Hands‑on accounting experience: You have practical GL and AP/P2P experience, with solid fundamentals in journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
Accounting standards & VAT: You have working knowledge of HGB or IFRS, understand invoice requirements and VAT fundamentals, and know when to seek expert guidance.
You're confident using spreadsheets and accounting systems, with strong attention to coding accuracy, data quality, and financial controls.
You communicate effectively in English, collaborate well across teams, and enjoy helping colleagues solve operational challenges.
Modern finance tools: You've worked with AI-native ERPs, Ramp or similar P2P platforms, Q2C tools, or workflow automation platforms like n8n.
International accounting: You have experience working across multiple entities, ideally in a general business with an expanding international footprint.
SaaS & revenue accounting: You're familiar with SaaS business models, multi‑currency accounting, AR, or revenue recognition.
Audit & qualifications: You bring an audit background or relevant accounting qualifications that strengthen your accounting expertise.
German language skills: You can communicate in German, although this is not required for the role.
At n8n, you won't just process transactions — you'll help rethink how accounting works at an automation company. You'll own meaningful parts of our accounting operations, build AI-powered improvements you can see in action,



and help shape a scalable finance function at one of Europe's fastest-growing startups.
