Job Description As a Senior Data Engineer specializing in BigQuery , your main focus will be the end-to-end design, construction, and optimization of data pipelines and architectures in the Google cloud. You will work on challenging projects where efficiency, query performance, and cost management are key factors for client success. Your main responsibilities:

- Architecture and Optimization in BigQuery: Design and implement efficient data models, applying advanced partitioning, clustering techniques, and best practices to optimize costs and query execution times.
- ELT/ETL Pipeline Construction: Design, develop, and automate large-scale data integration and transformation flows.
- Code Development and Quality: Write advanced, maintainable, and robust SQL queries and processes,



applying version control with Git and good CI/CD practices.
- Data Modeling: Define semantic layers and data schemas (analytical, advanced analytics, data marts) aligned with the client's business needs.
- Technical Consulting and Mentoring: Collaborate on technical decision-making, resolution of complex performance issues, and promote best practices within the engineering team.

Requirements

- Experience: +4-5 years of solid experience in Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering roles.
- Advanced SQL Proficiency: Demonstrable experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL logic.
- Google BigQuery Specialization: Deep practical knowledge of BigQuery's internal architecture, slot allocation management, query optimization, partitioning/clustering strategies, and cost governance.
- ELT Flows and Data Modeling: Experience in designing data pipelines and dimensional modeling (star schema, snowflake, Data Vault, etc.).
- Good Software Practices: Proficiency in version control with Git and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab, Pull Requests, Code Reviews).

Positively Valued (Plus):

- Official Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
- Experience with transformation and orchestration tools in the GCP ecosystem (e.g., dbt , Cloud Composer / Airflow , Dataflow).
- Knowledge of Python applied to data engineering.
