We are looking for a new talent to join our Software team in Getafe (Madrid), Spain:Principal Software EngineerAre you an experienced embedded software engineer looking to lead complex software activities within the avionics sector? Mercury is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to combine hands?on software development with technical leadership across avionics projects. You will help shape software plans, coordinate activities across internal teams and subcontractors, and ensure software delivery aligns with project and certification requirements.
What you'll be doingLeading software activities across avionics projectsSpecifying, designing, coding and testing embedded avionics softwareDeveloping and integrating software modules in C/C++Working with Linux kernel drivers, VxWorks 653, RTOS BSPs and application softwareEstablishing software plans and tracking project delivery against themSupporting software verification and developing verification scripts in PythonCoordinating internal teams and subcontractors responsible for verification activitiesProviding technical software support to customers and supporting DO-178C auditsPreparing basis-of-estimate inputs for software activitiesWhat we're looking forA Master's degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related disciplineProven industrial experience as an embedded software engineerStrong knowledge of DO-178C and DO-330Experience with avionics RTOS BSPs and software lifecyclesLinux kernel driver development experienceSoftware project management skills,
