Working alongside experienced fire engineers, you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges, develop your technical skills and gain an understanding of fire safety principles, codes and standards. As a Fire Safety Trainee at Arup, you will: Support the development of fire safety strategies, working with multidisciplinary teams within Arup and external project teams. Assist with performance-based fire engineering studies, including calculations and modelling related to fire and smoke behavior, evacuation and structural response to fire. Support fire safety reviews and inspections of new and existing buildings and infrastructure, including reviewing drawings and contributing to technical reports. Assist with the preparation of drawings, presentations and other technical documentation, with opportunities to gain exposure to fire protection systems design. We are looking for a proactive and dynamic person with a focus and interest to develop their career in fire safety.



Currently pursuing or recently graduated a degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline. Speak English and Spanish fluently (C1). Academic exposure to fire safety engineering, fire dynamics, heat transfer or structural behavior in fire. Familiarity with fire modelling tools, such as FDS and/or structural modelling tools, such as LS-DYNA, including through academic coursework or projects.
