At 4Founders Capital we are looking for someone who understands software and the startup ecosystem from the inside. An engineer or technical profile first, who also works with AI every day and has automated parts of their own work. You will join the investment team to scout, screen and analyse the next generation of technology companies. About 4Founders Capital 4Founders Capital is an independent venture capital firm founded in Barcelona in 2017 by serial entrepreneurs with experience as co-founders and CEOs of technology companies. We invest mainly in pre-Seed&Seed; stages, with tickets from €300K to €3M, in founding teams with a strong sense of ownership and an international mindset. • You will be part of the Investment Team and work directly with the partners on:
• Scouting, screening and evaluating new investment opportunities, with a focus on deep-tech, software and AI-driven companies.
• Technical due diligence: assessing architecture, product defensibility, data assets and the real use of AI in a startup's product.
• Building AI-assisted workflows and agents for dealflow screening, market research and portfolio monitoring, and keeping them running.
• Market research and your own investment thesis.
• Financial analysis, modelling and preparation of materials for Investment Committees.
• Monitoring the performance and reporting obligations of portfolio companies.
• Representing 4Founders Capital at sector events. What we look for




• 2 to 4 years of previous experience
• You understand software and the startup ecosystem from the inside. You have built, shipped or reviewed real products, and you can tell a sound technical architecture from a slide.
• You work with AI every day: you automate processes in your own workflow, you use AI agents and vibe coding, and you can show us what you have built.
• Higher education, preferably technical (engineering, computer science or similar), with an excellent academic record. Business or Economics degrees are also considered.
• Excellent written and spoken English. International experience is highly valued. Fluent Spanish. Other languages are a plus.
• First professional experience in venture capital, or in a technical, financial or operational role in a startup or scaleup. A consulting background is also valued.
• Analytical, humble and pragmatic, with a can-do attitude and the ability to work with C-level profiles.
• Financial and strategic analytical skills, including financial modelling.
