ROC Technical Lead - Wind Remote Operations

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Contract type: Permanent, Full time

Hours: Rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

- Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
- Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
- Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
- Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Support reporting and communication of technical findings
- Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
- Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector
- Hands‑on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
- Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations
- Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative,



proactive mindset
- Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required
- Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility

Nice to have

- Control room or remote operations experience
- Offshore wind or commissioning experience
- Exposure to advanced turbine control systems (e.g., MarkVIe or similar)
- Experience working in multicultural teams
- Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written)

Ways of working

You work on a rotating weekday shift schedule (Monday to Friday), covering morning and afternoon shifts. You also take part in an on‑call rotation for occasional weekend and public holiday support.
