Function

As a Facilities Maintenance Employee, you are responsible for the technical maintenance of accommodation locations across the Netherlands. You’ll travel in a company van equipped with all the tools you need to do your job effectively. One day you might be replacing a fixture at a property; the next, you’ll be installing, repairing, or maintaining equipment to ensure residents can continue to live safely and comfortably.

You’ll carry out a wide range of routine maintenance tasks and are also happy to take care of basic gardening and outdoor maintenance. If a job requires an extra pair of hands,



you’ll work together with a colleague or call on the support of a Welcome Officer. Throughout your work, you remain focused on safety, quality, and identifying potential risks. Thanks to your technical skills and sense of responsibility, Hobij’s accommodation locations remain in excellent condition.

Job Requirements

What does Hobij expect from you?

- You are able to carry out a wide range of routine maintenance tasks, including installing, assembling, and replacing fixtures and equipment.
- You don’t mind taking care of basic gardening and outdoor maintenance.
- You speak Dutch and are also able to communicate confidently in English.
- You easily build rapport with colleagues and residents.
- You have a practical, solution-oriented mindset and can identify what needs to be done at each location.
- You are safety-conscious and have a strong sense of responsibility.
- You are technically skilled, have good practical abilities, and know how to work safely and effectively with tools.
