This position is embedded within a research line at the Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) focused on the analysis of contemporary social transformations from a demographic, comparative and quantitative perspective. The research examines changes in living arrangements, household structures, intergenerational relationships and time use, and how these relate to social inequalities, gender and different stages of the life course.

The work combines census and survey data from different countries, including time-use surveys, to analyse both the individual and family factors associated with these transformations and the broader integral and territorial patterns that shape them. Particular attention is given to intergenerational coresidence, the distribution of time between paid work, care and personal life, time poverty and gender inequalities, combining comparative demographic research with the development of indicators and tools aimed at knowledge
