Job Description:A position for a Data Engineer has just arised within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful candidate will join TDDT Data Integration team which is part of AD&S Data Management & AI. As a Data Engineer you will take responsibility for the data integration pipelines design, implementation and deployment, between multiple data sources including Business Systems, Engineering Systems, Machines, Drones, etc. using our transversal and transnational Integration Platforms/Products. The successful candidate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of experts working in classical and agile project management methodologies. Depending on the projects the applicant will have an end-to-end accountability for the solution implementation and provide the necessary inputs to his/her colleagues to guarantee the best in class service after deployment phase. You will make the data fly inside Airbus Defence & Space and also from and to outside partners, customers or governments!Main tasks:Responsible of the integration activities, including design, implementation and deployment, inside data integration products to accomplish requests from the Digital projectsResponsible to define the integration tasks associated to new development related to new Use Cases or needs raised by associated Product OwnerResponsible of UATs and Deployment activities associated to new data integrations in close alignment with Operation Manager of associated data integration productSupport Data Integration Platform performance analysis in order to guarantee the existing SLASupport on migration of the existing data pipelines into the new microservices architecture API-basedSupport to AI Adoption acceleration initiatives in order to leverage the new interoperability layer that will support Agentic AI approach at company levelSupport Data modelling activities in line with the Data Foundations and Semantic layer defined by Data ownersOutputs:Information Flows up to date with the new data flows developed and deployedData Integration Platform SLR up to dateConfiguration Mgt documentationUATs deliverables in alignment with Project ManagerDeployment plan and associated acceptance criteria per data flowsData Integration technologies metricsTechnical advice on architecture and integrations related to project tasks in his/her perimeter or responsibilityPhysical data models in corresponding Data Integration platforms for associated data UCsData Quality checks of the implemented pipelines and automated alerts mechanismsSkills & Competencies:University degree in IT related fieldEnglish and Spanish negotiation level is requiredStrong collaboration and communication skillsExisting Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one would be mandatoryOver 5 years of relevant work experience as a Data Engineer with key focus on Data Integration aspects, including Data Quality checksOver 5 years of hands‑on experience in building/developing data pipelines with Enterprise Data Integration Platforms (middlewares, ETL, ELT, API platforms …) solutions/integrations for large scale data pipelines (on‑premises)Experience in handling data from a variety of sources like csv, json, xml, relational databases and so onDeep experience in programming languages related to data integration (Python, Flask, Node, JavaScript, Express …)Experience in developing technical and support documentation, translate business requirements and needs into reporting and modelsProficiency in querying and managing both relational and NoSQL databases API based services technologies experience is mandatoryUnderstanding of microservices and EDA approaches, preferably OnPrem,
