Akens ordburg is recruiting a Managing Director Spain (m/f/d) on behalf of a well-established German market leader with a strong international footprint.

Location:
Madrid, Barcelona or Zaragoza Your Responsibilities
* Define and execute the business strategy for Spain in close coordination with the German headquarters
* Hold full responsibility for the subsidiary’s financial performance, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence
* Lead and develop the local management team, fostering a high-performance and results-oriented culture
* Take ownership of commercial strategy and sales performance, driving market expansion and customer acquisition
* Identify and develop new business opportunities, markets, and strategic partnerships
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
* Ensure full compliance with local regulations and internal corporate standards
* Oversee all core functions including sales, purchasing, logistics, administration, and finance
* Collaborate closely with headquarters and other group entities to ensure alignment, transparency, and synergies

Your Profile




* University degree in a technical or commercial field (or equivalent qualification)
* Proven leadership experience as Managing Director or in a senior executive role with full business responsibility
* Strong track record in sales leadership, market expansion, and business development
* Solid experience managing and navigating complex commercial channel structures within the Spanish market (e.g., distributors, multi-tier channels, key accounts, prescription and direct sales)
* Experience within international corporate structures, ideally with German or European organizations
* Solid financial expertise, including P&L; management
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skillsFluent in Spanish and English; German language skills are a strong advantage
