About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking technology company specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies, is looking for a Senior Data Scientist with a focus on Computer Vision to join their innovative team in Mérida, Yucatán, MX. This role is crucial for developing and implementing advanced computer vision models that solve real-world problems. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and deploy state-of-the-art computer vision models for tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, facial recognition, and 3D reconstruction.
- Analyze and interpret complex image and video data to extract actionable insights.
- Design and implement robust data pipelines for training and evaluating computer vision models.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate computer vision models into production applications and systems.
- Conduct research on new computer vision techniques and algorithms, assessing their potential applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research papers, trends, and tools in the computer vision and AI fields.




- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's technical growth.
- Document findings, methodologies, and model performance thoroughly.

Requirements

- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field with a specialization in computer vision.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying computer vision models in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Strong understanding of image processing techniques, feature extraction, and classical computer vision algorithms.
- Experience with deep learning architectures relevant to computer vision (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers).
- Familiarity with libraries like OpenCV, scikit-image, and data augmentation techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present complex technical information.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
