About the Role

Our client, a leading automotive parts manufacturer based in León , Guanajuato, is seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Supply Chain. This executive role is responsible for the end-to-end management of the company's supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning. You will lead a significant team, drive operational efficiencies, implement advanced supply chain technologies, and ensure the seamless flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in general supply chain management, exceptional leadership qualities, and a deep understanding of lean principles and process optimization within the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of procurement, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Optimize inventory levels across the network to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs.
- Lead demand planning and forecasting processes to ensure accurate product availability.
- Implement and manage enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management (SCM) systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.




- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, carriers, and other supply chain partners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and sustainability practices.
- Manage the supply chain budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and enhancing profitability.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in global supply chain operations, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning.
- Strong understanding of ERP/SCM systems, lean principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metric development.
- Experience working with international suppliers and customers is essential.
