About the Role
Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Plumber to join their growing team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals keen to learn the essential skills of plumbing, working on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Under the guidance of experienced plumbers, you will gain practical experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing water and drainage systems. We seek motivated, reliable individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. This role involves both on-site work and potential for remote learning or administrative tasks, hence the Hybrid nature. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team serving the Queenstown community and surrounding areas, contributing to essential infrastructure maintenance and new installations. Our client is dedicated to providing a structured apprenticeship program to ensure you develop into a skilled and qualified professional plumber.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist qualified plumbers in installing and maintaining water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures.
* Learn to read and interpret plumbing blueprints and specifications.
* Perform tasks such as pipe cutting, threading, and joining under supervision.
* Assist in diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues, including leaks and blockages.




* Install and service various plumbing fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, showers).
* Ensure all work adheres to building codes and safety regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work site and company vehicle.
* Participate in regular training sessions and acquire necessary certifications.
* Handle plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively. Requirements
* A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
* A strong interest in pursuing a career in plumbing.
* Good physical health, dexterity, and the ability to work in various conditions.
* Basic understanding of tools and construction principles is an advantage.
* Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions.
* Reliability and a strong work ethic.
* Must be able to work on-site in Queenstown, Eastern Cape and participate in Hybrid work elements as required.
* Willingness to undergo trade testing and acquire formal qualifications. Benefits
