About the Role
Our client, a significant operator within the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking a vigilant HSE Advisor to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance for their field operations near Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This role is vital in promoting a robust safety culture, conducting risk assessments, and implementing effective HSE management systems. The idóneo candidate will possess strong knowledge of HSE regulations within the energy sector and have a proven track record of promoting safe working practices. Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific HSE plans and procedures.
* Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international HSE legislation and standards.
* Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
* Promote a positive safety culture through engagement and communication.




* Advise management on HSE matters and risk management strategies.
* Maintain HSE records and prepare regular reports for management review.
* Oversee emergency response preparedness and coordination.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders on HSE matters. Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the Oil & Gas or industrial sector.
* In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices in South Africa.
* Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification.
* Experience in incident investigation and reporting.
* Strong understanding of safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001).
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to operational sites.
* First Aid and Fire Fighting certifications are advantageous. Benefits
