Akensordburg is recruiting a Managing Director Spain (m/f/d) on behalf of a well-established German market leader with a strong international footprint.

Location: Madrid, Barcelona or Zaragoza

Your Responsibilities

- Define and execute the business strategy for Spain in close coordination with the German headquarters
- Hold full responsibility for the subsidiary’s financial performance, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence
- Lead and develop the local management team, fostering a high-performance and results-oriented culture
- Take ownership of commercial strategy and sales performance, driving market expansion and customer acquisition
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, markets, and strategic partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations and internal corporate standards
- Oversee all core functions including sales, purchasing, logistics, administration, and finance
- Collaborate closely with headquarters and other group entities to ensure alignment, transparency, and synergies

Your Profile





- University degree in a technical or commercial field (or equivalent qualification)
- Proven leadership experience as Managing Director or in a senior executive role with full business responsibility
- Strong track record in sales leadership, market expansion, and business development
- Solid experience managing and navigating complex commercial channel structures within the Spanish market (e.g., distributors, multi-tier channels, key accounts, prescription and direct sales)
- Experience within international corporate structures, ideally with German or European organizations
- Solid financial expertise, including P&L; management
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skillsFluent in Spanish and English; German language skills are a strong advantage
- Willingness to travel regularly
