About the Role

This position is crucial for optimizing vehicle and driver performance through rigorous data analysis and the development of predictive models. Working entirely remotely, the analyst will collaborate closely with engineers, drivers, and strategists to interpret vast amounts of telemetry data, identify performance limitations, and propose data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities

- Collect, process, and analyze real-time and post-race telemetry data from race cars and drivers.
- Develop and refine mathematical models to simulate vehicle dynamics, predict performance under various conditions, and optimize race strategies.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish benchmarks for driver and car performance.
- Collaborate with race engineers to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for car setup, aerodynamics, engine mapping, and tire management.
- Work closely with drivers to provide feedback on driving style and assist in performance improvement strategies.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports for engineering, strategy, and management teams.
- Implement statistical analysis techniques to identify performance trends and anomalies.
- Stay current with advancements in data analysis tools, simulation software, and motorsport technology.
- Contribute to the development of in-house analysis tools and methodologies.




- Ensure data integrity and the security of sensitive performance information.

Requirements

- Master's or Ph.D. in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace), Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance analysis, data science, or engineering within the motorsport industry or a similarly data-intensive field.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis programming languages such as Python (with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) or MATLAB.
- Experience with simulation software and techniques relevant to vehicle dynamics.
- Deep understanding of motorsport principles, including aerodynamics, powertrain, suspension, and tire behavior.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with real-time data acquisition systems and telemetry is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting, adhering to demanding deadlines.
- A strong passion for motorsport and the Leisure & Sports technology domain.
