About the Role
Our client, a rapidly growing logistics and distribution company, is seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Supervisor to manage their operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse staff, optimizing warehouse layout and processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and inventory accuracy. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role in a key operational hub. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency and implementing best practices within the warehouse environment. This role requires a blend of operational oversight and team management.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient workflow.
* Oversee the receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
* Implement and maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and stocktakes.
* Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
* Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Manage the efficient utilization of warehouse space and equipment.




* Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including inventory movements and staff performance.
* Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse facility. Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
* Proven experience in inventory management, receiving, and dispatch operations.
* Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.
* Experience with Lean or Six Sigma principles is advantageous.
* Willingness to work in a hybrid model, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities as needed. Benefits
