About the Role
Our client, a leading innovator in the integral telecommunications space, is seeking a highly specialized Telecommunications Systems Specialist to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial for the support, optimization, and advanced troubleshooting of complex telecommunications systems used by their enterprise clients. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of voice, data, and video communication platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in a range of telecommunications technologies, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems and contribute significantly to the stability and advancement of telecommunication services without the need for a physical office presence in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, or elsewhere. Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for advanced telecommunications systems. Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions. Perform complex configuration changes and system upgrades in collaboration with engineering teams.



Analyze system logs and performance data to diagnose root causes of problems. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 6 years of experience in telecommunications systems support and administration. Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft Teams). Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP) and network infrastructure. Experience with cloud-based communication platforms (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
