Supported by a culture of flexibility, growth, and innovation, join us to create a lasting legacy in safety and simulation. Description As a Software Developer, you will develop real-time simulation software used in military aircraft system integration laboratories. These engineering simulators reproduce aircraft systems and functions so that teams can test and validate software before it is installed on an aircraft. The emphasis is on aircraft controls and system behaviour rather than visual simulation. Develop object-oriented software components, primarily in C++, to reproduce aircraft behaviour in real time. Simulate the digital and analog signals associated with the aircraft's avionics systems. Participate in all phases of software development, including problem analysis, requirements definition, design, implementation, informal testing, troubleshooting, and integration. Support the software's user community. Work autonomously while collaborating regularly with software, systems, avionics, and other engineering groups. Valid driver's license, or ability to commute to the Mirabel offices This is a full-time, Monday-Friday hybrid working arrangement, with an expected presence of two to three days per week at the Mirabel office and occasional work from the Saint-Laurent office. Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
Up to three years of software development experience. Knowledge of C++ and C#. Ability to communicate orally and in writing about technical subjects in English or French. Ability to meet the requirements of Canada's Controlled Goods Program and, in certain cases, applicable International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements. Knowledge of Rust or Java.
