About the Role Our client, a leader in AI & Emerging Technologies , is seeking a skilled Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer to join their innovative team. This fully remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA , and beyond. You will focus on developing and implementing advanced NLP models and solutions that enable machines to understand, interpret, and generate human language. Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and deploy NLP models for various applications such as text classification, entity recognition, and question answering.
- Develop and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for specific tasks.
- Process and analyze large volumes of textual data.
- Implement natural language understanding (NLU) and natural language generation (NLG) systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate NLP capabilities into products.
- Evaluate and improve the performance of NLP models and pipelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in NLP and deep learning for text.
- Write clean, efficient,



and well-documented code.
- Contribute to the development of NLP tools and libraries.
- Troubleshoot and debug NLP systems.

Requirements

- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, AI, or a related field with a specialization in NLP.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Natural Language Processing engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and extensive experience with NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spa Cy, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Strong experience with deep learning frameworks like Tensor Flow or PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of NLP concepts, including tokenization, embeddings, sequence models (RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers).
- Experience with LLMs and their application.
- Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques for text data.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills suitable for a remote work environment.
- Must be eligible to work remotely from South Africa .
