We’re hiring a QA Automation Engineer to join the Investment Risk IT team of a leading global asset management firm in Madrid.

This role offers big-company scale with small-team spirit. You’ll work on business-critical risk platforms used across the firm’s global portfolios, as part of a small, agile team where developers, BAs, product owners and QA collaborate closely every day. It’s a team that values ownership, curiosity and clear communication, and where quality is built in from day one, not added at the end.

What you’ll do

Design and run manual tests across frontend, API and database layers, focusing on edge cases and business risks

Build and maintain automated tests in Java with Cucumber and Serenity BDD

Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for fast, reliable feedback

Support performance and load testing (Gatling)

Report quality status clearly using Allure

Work closely with developers, BAs and product owners, and propose improvements to QA practices and tooling

What we’re looking for





Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar

3+ years in QA, with solid experience in both manual testing and test automation

Test automation experience in Java (Cucumber, Selenium, RestAssured or similar)

REST API and web services testing experience

Hands-on with Git, Jenkins and Gradle or Maven

A pragmatic approach: automating what adds real value

Fluent English; German is a plus

Nice to have

Serenity BDD and Gatling

ISTQB certification

No finance background is required. Curiosity and willingness to learn the investment domain matter just as much.
