Senior Clinical Technologist

Main Purpose of Job

To deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care, with specific reference to renal disease treatment and education according to the Scope of Practice and Renal Care policies and standard procedures in an acute setting in all relevant hospital and ICU wards.Key Responsibility Areas

Coordinate acute renal process within the acute setting ensuring safe patient care by meeting set clinical quality standards according to company policies and procedures.Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional teamIdentify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safetyFacilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environmentProvide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventionsLead and manage the staff in the acute teamManage the acute service operational and capital expenses and ensure optimal utilisation of resourcesEnsure that all administrative documents are accurately completed and submittedRequired Education

Degree in Clinical Technology (Nephrology)Required Experience

Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2-3 years post-registration experience in an acute renal environment; or Clinical technologist (Nephrology)



registered with the HPCSA with a minimum of 2-3 years Dialysis experienceRegistered Nurse with SANC with post-registration renal qualification Or Clinical technologist (Nephrology) registered with the HPCSA will be advantageousRequired Job Skills And Knowledge
