Evinova, an AstraZeneca initiative, seeks an experienced Data Foundation Engineering Lead to design and optimize cloud-based data lakehouse infrastructure. This senior role involves hands-on engineering, team mentorship, and driving platform-wide data transformation to support products and AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based data lakehouse infrastructure and operational frameworks
- Mentor and guide team members on data platform tools, patterns, and automation best practices
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align data foundation strategies with business goals
- Implement data governance, security controls, and compliance frameworks across the platform
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation for data operations

Requirements





- 10+ years data engineering experience with SaaS and multi-tenant platform expertise
- Deep AWS proficiency: Lake Formation, Glue, Athena, EMR, Redshift Serverless, and related services
- Production experience with open table formats such as Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake
- Advanced AWS CDK (TypeScript) and CloudFormation infrastructure-as-code skills
- Proven mentoring and technical leadership with junior and mid-level engineers
- Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) expertise
- Strong Python, PySpark, or Spark Scala for ETL and data quality validation
