About the Role
Our client, a leading provider of industrial supplies, is seeking a reliable and diligent Materials Handler to join their operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape .
This role is integral to the efficient functioning of the warehouse and production floor, ensuring timely movement and management of materials.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching raw materials, components, and finished goods.
We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
This is a vital role that directly supports the supply chain and production processes within our client's Queenstown facility.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and goods.
Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
Pick and pack orders accurately based on requisitions or production schedules.
Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
Load and dispatch outgoing shipments, verifying contents against shipping documents.
Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stocktakes and cycle counting.
Keep the warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Report any damaged goods, discrepancies,



or safety concerns to supervision promptly.
Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations.
Requirements
A Grade 10 or 12 certificate is preferred.
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or materials handling role is highly advantageous.
Proven ability to operate material handling equipment, with a valid forklift license being a significant plus.
Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory management principles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items.
A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to hazard identification.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
